How I build

Brief it. Build it. Check it.

I don't write code. I write the brief. AI writes the code. I check it like I check an event before doors open.

One phase at a time

  1. Brief first

Every build starts with a plan file. What it is, who uses it, the rules and what done looks like. The AFA games started with 13 hard rules, including offline play from a thumb drive and rounds under 90 seconds.

  2. Write the rules down

Each project carries AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md and DESIGN.md. The AI reads them before it touches the project. Colours, tone, banned words and safety limits go here.

  3. One phase at a time

Big builds go in phases with a gate after each. The agent stops, reports and waits for my OK. TALON Console follows 5 phases this way.

  4. Pick the tool

Claude Code for most builds. Codex for some. Blink and Google AI Studio for fast prototypes. Suno for music.

  5. Test like it's event day

Real screen size, real network or none, real crowd. I tested the kiosk games in portrait at 1080x1920, offline, with a 60-second idle reset.
